Overview
Sofia is a member of the Firm’s Litigation, Labor, and Immigration Practice Groups. She specializes in labor and civil, criminal, administrative, and tax litigation. She has represented clients from initiatory stage to trial and appeal before various administrative and judicial fora such as the Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Trade and Industry, National Labor Relations Commission, Insurance Commission, first and second-level courts, Court of Tax Appeals, Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court. She represents clients across a range of industries including Agriculture, Allied Medical Services, Banking, Business Process Outsourcing, Construction and Engineering, Energy and Power, Food and Beverage, Information and Technology, Insurance, Lending, Manufacturing and Distribution, Real Estate, and Shipping and Fuel Importation. She has assisted clients in addressing data privacy concerns including possible and actual data breaches, as well as labor and employment concerns. She has facilitated seminars on various legal topics such as data privacy, labor and related DOLE regulations, and laws for the protection of women and children.
