Overview
Morris’ practice focus includes corporate organization, foreign investments and special registrations, mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring, legal due diligence, and real estate transactions. He also regularly advises clients on data privacy, taxation, estate and financial planning, intellectual property, and post-acquisition corporate regularization. He represents clients across a range of industries including media and technology, telecommunications, energy, finance, trade and retail, hospitality, health, and business process outsourcing.
Representative Work
- Assisted in the acquisition by a foreign company of a local entity in the health services field, including the study and implementation of the restructuring plan to ensure compliance with restrictions against nationalized activities and practice of profession
- Assisted in the acquisition by a foreign conglomerate of a domestic entity in the hospitality sector, and assisted in the regularization of post-acquisition corporate matters
- Assisted in the acquisition of real properties in a province in the Philippines, including legal due diligence, preparation of legal advice and memoranda, and coordination with relevant government agencies and units
- Assisted a production house in the review and negotiation of its various agreements with local and global media companies and brands
- Served as Data Protection Officer of a multi-national car manufacturing company based in the Philippines
