On 13 August 2026, GSE Law conducted a Data Privacy seminar for Food for the Hungry Philippines, a Christian NGO providing humanitarian aid and global development organization. The seminar was led by the members of the firm’s Data Privacy Practice Group, Attys. Gelacio C. Rivera IV, Johanna Daisyre L. Oblianda, and Joselle Joy D. Asuelo.

The seminar provided a comprehensive discussion on the Data Privacy Act of 2012 with a focus on ensuring that the organization’s activities comply with mandatory regulations. Participants from across the Philippines were trained on important data privacy principles including the rights of data subjects, data sharing agreements, cross-border processing, and data breach management.

Through the session, attendees gained a deeper understanding of their responsibilities in safeguarding personal information and upholding the data subject’s right to privacy.
