GSE Law Firm recently conducted a Data Privacy Seminar for Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp., led by Senior Associate Atty. Mark Morris M. Julian, who also serves as the corporation’s appointed Data Protection Officer (DPO).

The session was tailored for the After-Sales Department and highlighted the key provisions of the Data Privacy Act of 2012, as well as pertinent issuances of the National Privacy Commission. It covered the rights of data subjects, applicable penal provisions, and practical guidance on various types of data sharing agreements, including cross-border considerations and common data privacy issues.
