Maria Kristine A. Quimpo
Maria Kristine A. Quimpo is part of the Firm’s Litigation and Labor Practice Groups. Her primary practice areas are litigation and arbitration.
KQ deals with the various fields of litigation, particularly civil, criminal, commercial, labor and tax disputes. She likewise assists and represents energy developers with their applications and petitions with various quasi-judicial bodies. KQ has represented clients in local institutionalized arbitration. Her practice extends to assisting clients in foreshore land agreement applications, reviewing construction agreements and advising on and negotiating commercial property transactions.
She regularly appears before the trial courts and the Court of Tax Appeals. She likewise represents clients before administrative and quasi-judicial bodies such as the Energy Regulatory Commission, Department of Energy, National Commission for Indigenous People, Local Board of Assessment Appeals and National Labor Relations Commission.
She began her law career in 2008 as an Associate in the Corporate Department, and subsequently the Litigation Department, of Jimenez Gonzales Bello Valdez Caluya & Fernandez Law Offices. She joined the Firm in 2012.
KQ received her Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Management in 2004 from De La Salle University. In 2008, she received her Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University, graduating with Honors. KQ was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2009. She is also a member of the Philippine Institute of Arbitrators (PIArb).
