Maria Farah Z. G. Nicolas-Suchianco
Maria Farah Z. G. Nicolas-Suchianco is the Firm’s Managing Partner. One of the Founding Partners, Dimples co-heads the Corporate Practice Group of the Firm. Her primary practice areas are acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and project financing.
Dimples actively handles special projects involving various aspects of corporate and commercial law, consisting of deal structuring and negotiation, business acquisitions and corporate restructuring, project financing, real estate transactions, capital market and securities and investments for domestic and foreign corporations. Her practice includes taxation. She assists clients in protesting tax assessments and representing them in litigation disputes involving tax matters. Dimples was previously head of the Litigation Practice Group.
Dimples represents domestic and foreign clients before judicial and quasi-judicial bodies, including but not limited to the Congress of the Philippines, Department of Justice, Department of Energy, Securities and Exchange Commission, Philippine Stock Exchange, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bases Conversion and Development Authority, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, Philippine Economic Zone Authority, and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
Dimples sits as a member of the Board of Directors and acts as Corporate Secretary and/or officer of various corporations. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Capital Markets Integrity Corporation.
Dimples started her law career as an apprentice at the Vancouver Office of Fraser & Beatty Law. She was a Senior Partner at De Borja Medialdea Bello Guevarra & Gerodias (BMBGG) prior to co-founding the Firm in 2006.
Dimples obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Management with a major in Legal Management from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1989 and her Juris Doctor degree also from Ateneo de Manila University in 1993. Dimples was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1994 where she ranked twelfth.
