Amabelle Grace G. Mascardo-Macias
Amabelle Grace G. Mascardo-Macias is head of the Tax Practice Group. She is also part of the Firm’s Corporate Practice Group. Her primary practice areas are taxation, real estate transactions, and financing.
Che-lin leads the Firm’s taxation law practice which includes tax assessments, tax planning, confirmatory tax ruling applications, tax refunds, compromise settlements and tax treaty reliefs. Che-lin has gained extensive experience in various areas of corporate and commercial law such as real estate transactions, financing, media and entertainment, mergers and acquisitions, corporate organization and restructuring, investments, joint ventures, telecommunications, information technology, and gaming. She likewise advises clients on intellectual property protection.
Che-lin represents clients before various government agencies such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Securities and Exchange Commission, Intellectual Property Office, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation and Bases Conversion and Development Authority, among other agencies. She also sits as a member of the Board of Directors and acts as Corporate Secretary and officer of various corporations. She is the Firm Representative to the American Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines.
She started her law career in 2002 as a Junior Associate at De Borja Medialdea Bello Guevarra & Gerodias (BMBGG) prior to joining the Firm in 2006.
Che-lin obtained her Bachelor of Mass Communication degree from Silliman University in 1995. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree also from Silliman University in 2001. Che-lin was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2002 and ranked seventh.
